FIRST TO 120

Today we played FIRST TO 120. To play the game we used a 120 number grid, a 10 sided die and two counters. The aim was to be the first to get our counter on 120. We had to land exactly on that number. If we threw a 5, we had to go back 5 steps. If we rolled a 0 we missed a turn. This game helped us to add on numbers. For example if we were on 48 and threw a 7, instead on moving our counter one step at a time, we worked out in our head what 48 +7 = then moved to that space(55). We double checked with our partner. It was fun. Luke and Fraser were both on 119 at the same time. Luke managed to throw 1 first and won the game.
